Simix Saves Airport Time and Money on Epoxy Floors

PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA (June 26, 2016) - These epoxy terrazzo floors at the Punta Gorda Airport in Florida were installed over the winter of 2015-2016.

Every day, 3,000 to 4,000 people walk over them, dragging luggage and carts, and pushing strollers. This airport does not have jetways, so all the passengers have to walk across the tarmac and track jet fuel exhaust fumes into the terminal.

After installation, the maintenance crew cleaned the floors every single night and they still looked dirty.

That’s when they decided to try Simix. The floors were coated with 20 coats of Simix Multi-Surface Coating (now called Simix Ceramic Floor Coating) in the spring of 2016.
